Mirta Kupferminc is an Argentine multidisciplinary artist, who lives and works in Buenos Aires. Lecturer and teacher, shows her art internationally in individual shows in galleries and in museums. Exhibiting since 1977, had more than 90 solo shows.

Her work is engraved in a very precise contemporary production line. This line retraces the old-time ability of art to plunge into universal narratives, address social life, and become an agent for history and memory. She represents Argentina at international biennials, and received many awards and recognitions. She was been chosen to build the memorial to honor the victims of the terrorist attack of the Jewish Community building AMIA in Buenos Aires in 1994. Mirta searches into her family history and the Jewish culture, in order to draw out of these sources a number of metaphors that go beyond the peculiarities of individual experience.

Driven by a fully humanistic vision, she celebrates the ability of art to overcome contingencies and projects herself with ecumenical intensity. She is drawn to certain recurrent topics, such as, identity, literature, migrations, human rights and memory.

Kupferminc has shown her art in Shanghai, Switzerland, Spain, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong Germany, Cuba, Brazil, Israel, United States, Poland, France, Hungary, England and her works can be found in International Collections and Museums : The Israel Museum Contemporary Art Collection, Jerusalem-Israel-Fine Arts Museum , Taipei-Fine Arts Museum , Taichung- Taiwan-Ralli Museum, Uruguay-Holocaust Museum, Budapest, Hungary-, – -University of Maryland, -Library of Congress, Washington DC-Golda Meir Library, Winsconsin University, Milwaukee- HUC Museum, Nueva York, Manhattan, -Southern Graphic Council Collection, USA.

She lives and works in Buenos Aires. Directs her own studio already for 35 years, where she mentors other artists. Mirta launched Laba-BA : a laboratory for Jewish Culture in Buenos Aires in 2015 , working together with Laba at the 14th St Y NYC
